SME Climate Hub Partners with Emitwise and Equipoise to Launch the Next Generation of Accessible Carbon Measurement Tools
Emitwise and Equipoise have partnered with the SME Climate Hub to provide emissions measurement tools to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The free tools help businesses measure both operational and supply chain emissions to inform their reduction strategies.
The partnership introduces free carbon measurement tools, designed to meet the diverse needs of SMEs at different stages of their sustainability journey:
- Emitwise’s intuitive online Scope 3 calculator: Helps businesses analyse supply chain emissions through procurement data, set reduction targets, and develop decarbonization roadmaps.
- Equipoise’s advanced business carbon calculator: Comprehensive carbon measurement tool that analyses emissions across business operations and supply chains, delivering granular insights to help build effective decarbonization strategies that accelerate organisations on their Net Zero journey.
The new tools will improve the accuracy of emissions measurements while making data collection more efficient. SMEs will be able to identify practical emissions reduction opportunities and meet growing customer requirements for supply chain reporting. This offering will grow to include a small business carbon calculator, a simple and accessible tool, designed for small businesses getting started with measurement.
Mauro Cozzi, Co-Founder and CEO of Emitwise said: “Working with enterprises to engage and enable their suppliers to decarbonize we have seen first-hand the impact of empowering companies of every size and maturity to measure, track and act on decarbonization. Working with the SME Climate Hub means we can provide our tool for free to make that possible for SMEs.”
Luke Abbott, Co-Founder and CEO of Equipoise, added: “By providing our comprehensive carbon calculator to the SME Climate Hub, we’re ensuring cost is never a barrier to starting a decarbonization journey. SMEs generate around 40% of business-sector emissions (OECD), yet they are uniquely agile and innovative, making them prime drivers of meaningful climate impact when equipped with accurate, actionable measurement and support.”
