Mat Langley, Sustainable Procurement Champion, joins Emitwise
As a Strategic Advisor, Mat Langley will drive supply chain decarbonisation across Emitwise’s product and customer network.
Mat Langley, recently named the CIPS 2024 Sustainable Procurement Champion, has joined Emitwise as a Strategic Advisor. Formerly the Global Procurement Head for Sustainability at the leading global commercial real estate giant CBRE, Mat brings over 25 years of experience in procurement and supply chain, with a strong focus on global leadership, sustainable procurement, and supply chain decarbonisation.
Mat’s involvement with Emitwise began as a client. At CBRE, while leading their procurement technology, operations, risk, transformation, and ESG, he selected and scaled Emitwise to thousands of companies in their supply chain, seeing firsthand the platform’s impact across a diverse pool of suppliers. This was a key element that helped CBRE earn recognition by the Financial Times as one of the top three most sustainable companies in the U.S. Now, Mat brings this expertise to help Emitwise’s customers expand their initiatives and build clear, actionable paths to meet their targets through product roadmaps and direct engagements.
To further advance sustainable practices across procurement, Mat envisioned and created the CPO Decarbonisation Network, powered by Emitwise. This network brings together seasoned CPOs committed to driving supply chain decarbonisation and supporting procurement teams in building and delivering sustainable programs.
